First Knight Miniature Horse Farm is located in Western Canada in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. We began our love affair with minis in 1985, and our current herd size numbers between 20 and 30 horses. While we are a small farm we are very proud of our achievements. It is our intention to continue to focus on our goal of quality not quantity.

The
"Cast" of First Knight
KC (Mom)
grew up with horses and it would probably be fair to say
they are her passion but her devotion to minis is limited
to just 25 hours every day.
Stephani grew
up with our minis and has become an excellent handler. Steph,
being naturally artistic has taken over the grooming end
of our farm, which she does to perfection with the same
eye for detail as her mom.
Greg (Dad)
had a love for race horses, and now almost two decades later
tolerates the minis.
Anthony does
a lot of behind the scenes jobs, enabling Mom and Stephani
to take off for their summers of "playing" in the show-ring. |

"Bit" Of First Knight's History
Sooner States Bit O Honey was
our first breeding stallion, from whom we bred many National
Champions. He was 1995 National Champion Get of Sire winner.

The goals we strive toward include:
For the horses we breed to consistently out-produce themselves. We are extremely proud of this because we feel we have some of the finest breeding stock in North America. They have shown this in both the show-ring and the breeding shed.
To continue to be recognized as a small farm breeding exceptional horses. Because of our success in the show-ring people have told us they assumed we had a huge herd from which to choose our Show Horses. In fact, we have often just shown ALL of our 'not pregnant' horses.
To have exceptional horses for sale at reasonable prices. We are especially interested in having other 'show homes' purchase one of our horses. Our price list reflects our goal of making quality affordable.
For our show horses to continue to be competitive at the World Level. A very high aim, when you consider the improvement of the breed from year to year. The high level of competition at the AMHA World Show makes the championships, all the more rewarding.
For the people who buy one of our horses, to be proud to add another First Knight horse to their herd. We think the highest form of recognition is when a client wishes to acquire another horse carrying the First Knight name.
